This month we have all of our genres represented with work by William Henderson, Jess Cording, Stephanie Dickinson, and Gary Glauber every Thursday.

In celebration of our third anniversary our Editors have selected a few of our favorite pieces from the last three years to share with you again. Checked back every Tuesday to see which piece each editor picked.

January 2012

Guest Editor Jeff Wood is kicking off 2012 with TWF’s first foray into screenplays. He has selected work by Gail Mackenzie-Smith, Dorothy Rice, and Jeff Eyres.

This month we will be featuring work by Heather Wyatt, Tara Leigh DeAngelis, Clinton Van Inman, and Marc Carver.

Our friends at The Coachella Review have their Winter issue up now. Be sure to keep an eye out for some familiar names.

KJ Hannah Greenberg has a new poetry collection available entitled, A Bank Robber’s Bad Luck with His Ex-Girlfriend.

AE Stueve is proud to announce his picks for his Guest Editor Month are John Glass, Ray Dean, Flower Conroy, and Sarah Sarai. Read their steampunk work every Tuesday.

PEN Center USA is hosting an Emerging Voices Meet & Greet at Skylight Books in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 9 at 5 PM. New reader Natashia Deón will be giving a reading and taking part in one of the panels, and you’ll be sure to run into other friends and contributors of TWF as well.

With Summer vacation coming to a close the editors at The Whistling Fire thought we would treat you to something completely different. This month TWF will be hosting Deanne Stillman Week. Deanne Stillman is an award winning author whose books include Twentynine Palms and Mustang. Deanne will be sharing a new One-Act Play with us which will be published in installments Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the last week of August.
