J. Robert Young is completing his master’s degree in sociology at the University of New Hampshire, where he is also employed as a teaching/research assistant. As an undergraduate, Young studied sociology and creative writing at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. For Young, sociology and poetry are not two separate disciplines—both stem from human experience and seek to examine and interpret the human condition. Upon completing his MA, Young plans to pursue a doctorate in sociology while continuing to write.
