Debbie Graber received an MFA in Fiction from the low residency program at The University of California, Riverside. She has also taken fiction writing at the University of Chicago Extension program and UCLA Extension. She will have a short story published in an upcoming issue of Hobart.
Debbie is originally from Chicago, where she learned improvisation techniques at the famed Second City Theatre. In addition to tending to her nascent writing career, she has spent the last several years working in a call center. Besides writing memos that no one will read and attending departmental meetings that accomplish nothing, she has been afforded the opportunity to survey corporate culture with all its attendant absurdity, quietly taking notes from inside her tiny observation cubicle.
Debbie would like to thank the staff at the Whistling Fire for their support. She is honored that her work has been included in their fantastic publication.
