Natashia Deón is a PEN Emerging Voice Fellow (2010), Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference scholarship recipient (2010), award-winning screenwriter and practicing attorney. Deón is currently penning her debut novel, The Spinning Wheel, a dark journey of three outcast women who, on the eve of the Civil War South, are fighting the battle of their lives. Portions of the novel have appeared in the PEN Anthology Strange Cargo. In addition to practicing law, Deón teaches creative writing for PEN USA’s Pen In the Classroom Program and for 826LA.
