Lauren Cummings is a recent graduate from the University of California Riverside’s Palm Desert MFA Program. Lauren studied history as an undergrad at UC Riverside and Charles University in the Czech Republic. Lauren also was the Assistant Editor-in-Chief for the 2008 University of California, Riverside’s Undergraduate Research Journal. Most of her publishing credits to this date are in journalism. She headed an independent underground newspaper and has written for various independent newspapers and magazines often focusing on political commentary and music reviews. She is currently writing a historical fiction novel while working as a freelance web designer (for sites such as The Coachella Review) and lending her writing and technology talents to a full time job at her alma mater.
