Cynthia Romanowski is a first-year student at UCR’s Palm Desert Low Residency MFA program. She has a journalism degree from Cal State Long Beach. In undergrad she wrote for The Union Weekly and Daily 49er, as well as a small industry magazine called Great Taste. She is currently living in Long Beach and working on a linked short story collection. She also recently became a reader for UCR’s Coachella Review. In her free time Cynthia volunteers for the non-profit organization 826LA, which offers drop-in tutoring and other activities aimed at developing students’ writing skills.
