Even as Evening

Even as evening

approaches night-

dandelions shake

dust loose from their yellow-

a robin pulls

the last red worm

from the moist,

but callous

ground,

shadows fade

into fresh fall night-

small creatures

with trumpet

sounds dominant

the adjacent

woods.

A virtuoso!
